About

I'm a 29 year old financial analyst that is just starting to get serious about personal finance and investing.  Ironically, I've worked in the financial industry for the past six years but I never really took my personal finances very seriously.

It's been said that saving the first $100,000 is the hardest; I'm sure there is some truth to that statement but if others have done it before than it isn't something that is impossible to do.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people out there who are in the same position that I'm in.  Starting off with relatively nothing or even negative if they have tons of debt, while someday hoping to have a net worth of $100,000.

If I can do it, so can you, and you'll see how I did it every step of the way along with my philosophical musings about money as the days, weeks and months pass.  This blog will document how I started with a little over $1,000 and how I saved $100,000.  If you're in the same boat I'm in, or if you've already saved $100,000, I'd love to hear your story - or some inspirational tidbits - as well!

Come along for the ride!
